Nature inspired crafts at Squires

I do like a visit to a Squires Garden Centre every now and again but I like it even more in the school holidays when they have their 'Create & Grow' nature inspired workshops on. The workshops vary in activity and therefore vary in price but it's generally £4-7 per child. Today's activity was to paint a lovely terracotta bee shaped pot which can then be used as a plant pot or pen holder. Kids can get crafty, paint and design their pots just the way they want and then take their completed masterpiece home with them. Also during the school holidays, there is usually a little treasure hunt that the kids can take part in for free (or a small charge if a prize is included) around the centre - which helps if you, like me, would like to have a browse around the centre without being pulled towards the exit by your kids. The kids had a lovely time painting pots today - we would definitely recommend it as it offers all the fun and none of the mess to clear up afterwards!
