FREE! The oasis that is the Crossrail Place Roof Garden

Nestled between the skyscrapers of Canary Wharf lies this exotic roof garden. Whilst it is probably not enough to warrant a day out here it is definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. The garden has an East meets West theme which incorporates plants and shrubs from around the World relating to the trade history of the area. Even though the diamond shaped roof panelling is partly open to the elements, the garden still maintains a calm and quiet atmosphere, a retreat from the hustle and bustle of the busy business district surrounding it. All paths are accessible and there is plenty of seating amongst the tropical greenery to relax, reflect or eat your lunch in peace. At either end of the garden, there is a bar/restaurant if you fancy it and any piano players can show off their talent on the upright situated at one end of the garden. A lovely, free to enter, hidden gem in London's Docklands.
