FREE! Beach East

Beach East is one of the many urban beaches dotted around our city. For a little taste of the seaside close to home, we went along to Beach East to see what it was like. It felt a lot like being at the seaside today actually...a bit of sand, a bit of water, overcast with rain clouds looming over us and sitting in a deckchair with a jumper on! The kids stripped into their swimmers pretty much as soon as we got through the entrance and had lots of fun. It would be easy to spend a small fortune on the food, drink and rides but its just as easy to take a picnic and just let the kids run around the beach area.
