Hair-raising Halloween
Our friends from the across the pond have had a huge influence in the way Halloween has been celebrated over here in recent years. There are now loads of Halloween and Day of the Dead events going on around town. So aside from getting the kids kitted out in their Halloween outfits and venturing out to trick or treat, you can also find some great free and cheap local hair-raising Halloween activities for the kids. I have listed a few events on my upcoming events calendar page...so take a look for some inspiration.

Held on the Thursday of October half-term in Kingston town centre. Lots of free activities usually on offer including craft workshops, story-telling, face painting, boat rides, hunts and more.

From strawberries to sweetcorn, cherries to courgettes and pumpkins to peas - find a 'PYO' (Pick Your Own) site and let the kids see first hand how some of their favourite fruits and vegetables grow before you pick a few for your punnet and sample the delights. There are a few places around London to do just this (Copas Farm and Garsons are a couple) but one of our favourites is Crockford Bridge Farm in Addlestone.
