Fireworks

Who doesn't like watching fireworks? Furthermore, who doesn't like watching fireworks for free?  Whilst there are probably hundreds of firework displays happening around town (including Ealing Cricket Club, Ravenscourt Park and Alexandra Palace), our regular visit to Chiswick Business Park for their free fireworks display is always on our calendar.  Not only do they have a great display choreographed to music, there are food stalls, music and other entertainment courtesy of the enjoy-work.com peeps.  Everybody...oooooh.....aaaaaah.

Chiswick and various locations

In 1215, in an attempt to get London on his side, King John allowed the people to elect their own mayor.  However, he insisted that any new Mayor would have to leave the City of London and make their own way to Westminster to be sworn in.  This journey is now celebrated in the form of a river pageant, a lively road procession and fireworks. Great day out.

Central London

As much fun for grown-ups as it is for kids.  Brimming with everything Christmassy, this is a must.  Open from November to January (check exact dates on their website).  From fairground rides and games to ice skating; a 60m ferris wheel to cosy bars; traditional Christmas market stalls to an Ice Kingdom; cheesy Christmas carols to a Victorian bandstand - there really is something for everyone.  Free to enter but all activities are chargeable.

Another traffic-free treat brought to you by Regent Street.  This annual event showcases vintage, classic and modern cars.  There is lots of things to see and do including displays and experiences, enough to keep all ages entertained.
